That special time of the daily Eucharist is what sustains our unity in community and expresses our communion with the Church. It is also what sustains our communion and intimacy with Christ. “For in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ himself, our Pasch.” # 1325 Catechism.
The Eucharist is the great act of thanksgiving and worship on the part of the community and God’s great act of divinising and sanctifying the community.
After Lauds the sisters move from the choir stalls to the Eucharistic area of the church around the altar and that movement in itself awakens our hearts to the great enactment of Christ’s Paschal Mystery. Our guests and some of our neighbours join with us and share in the joy and celebration of the Eucharist.
