Experience monastic life for a weekend

We welcome women aged 20 – 40 who are discerning God’s call to visit Glencairn Abbey to find out more about Cistercian life at Glencairn.

Meet our community and experience the rhythm of monastic life with our balance of prayer, work, and contemplation.

Talk to a sister for vocation guidance.  Take some quiet time in the Abbey Church and in the beauty of nature here in the at the Abbey for a prayerful encounter with God.

Directions to the Abbey can be found here on our website.  To those who will be travelling by public transport please inquire with Sr Mairéad and we can arrange to meet you at the nearest bus stop to the Abbey.
