Special Birthdays in our Community

What a year for big birthdays in the community! On 30th June, Mother Marie, who has served the community as Abbess for the past 19 years, turned 70 years old. Congratulations Mother Marie!

 

Mother Marie celebrated her birthday together with Fr Bob and Fr Michael, with us during the covid-19 lockdown, whose birthdays fell at around the same time. Our very talented cook Liz baked the most holy of cakes for ‘the three amigos’! Please note their venerable attires conformed to best pandemic practice!

 

 

On 15th of September we were also delighted to celebrate Mother Agnes’ 90th birthday. Congratulations Mother Agnes! A very special guest arrived for Mother Agnes’ birthday to bring her blessing and good wishes…and of course we were treated to a song or two from Nóirín Ní Riain, a special friend of Mother Agnes and the community through the years. Thank you Nóirín.

 

 

 

And on 9th October, we celebrated with Sr Eleanor her 60th birthday. Congratulations to you too Sr Eleanor!
