Irish Contemplative Gathering in May Gets Underway with Core Group Meeting at Glencairn

A core group meeting of the Irish Female Contemplatives Association was held at Glencairn on the 15th March to prepare for the annual Gathering of Irish Contemplative Nuns to be held in May of this year at Ballyvaloo Retreat Centre in Wexford. Attending this meeting were Sr Gabrielle from the Poor Clares of Ennis, Sr Olivia from the Carmelites in Knock, Sr Emy from the Carmelites of New Ross and Sr Fiachra from Glencairn.

The three day Gathering will include sisters representing ten houses of Irish Poor Clares, ten houses of Irish Carmelites and ten sisters from the Association of Monasteries of Ireland, including Cistercians, Dominicans, Benedictines, the Holy Hill Hermits.

Input will be on the subject of Human Development presented by Sr Maureen Cusick. The event is already booked out!
