Spring Has Sprung: New Arrivals on the Farm!
Spring has truly sprung, and things are hopping down on the farm! With the season of renewal well underway, we are delighted to share news about the many new arrivals who now call our farm home.
For some years, we have been blessed with a diverse and lively flock of sheep, lovingly cared for by Sr. Lily. This year, with the invaluable help of our Sisters in formation, our flock has grown even further with the arrival of sixteen adorable lambs. Each one of these little newcomers has already won the admiration of our visitors and, of course, warmed our hearts with their playful energy.
But the lambs are not the only new faces gracing our fields! Before his recent departure to the new community of Our Lady of Silence, Fr. Denis Luke of Mt. Melleray entrusted us with the care of his beloved donkeys, Bill and Bob. These two gentle souls have settled in wonderfully, and we are honored to provide them with a loving home.
Additionally, the monks of Mt. Melleray, prior to their departure for Roscrea, reached out to us with a special request—to offer a safe and welcoming haven for two of their cherished pets. And so, we are now the proud caretakers of Dwane and his companion, Ron, two of the most impressive pigs you will ever meet! What makes them so amazing? Scroll down to find the answer!
