Welcome home to Sr Josephine!

We were delighted to welcome Sister Josephine back home to Glencairn this week after her three year sojourn at our daughter house, St Justina’s monastery, in Nigeria.

Sister Josephine went to Nigeria for the first time as a newly solemnly professed sister in 1990 to support the community in the early days of its foundation. Since 2008, she has been helping our sisters there in the work of renewing their liturgy for the liturgy of the hours and the eucharist and additionally to train individual sisters in music and organ playing.

The choir at St Mary’s Abbey rings out all the more fully once again as an experienced voice rejoins the ranks to sing God’s praises!
